Bail ensures protection for the public and law enforcement officers on a daily basis, and it is central to maintaining the integrity of the criminal justice system by ensuring the accused appear in court.  

As both a prosecutor who asked for reasonable bail and a judge who imposed it, I will use a common-sense approach that assesses every individual’s criminal history and the seriousness of the current crime.
